NotesBanao helps students and learners turn English lecture playback into clean, structured study notes. Use the NotesBanao Chrome extension while watching an English lecture, class recording, course video, or educational session in your browser. When you start recording, the extension captures lecture audio from the active browser tab, prepares a transcript, and sends the required content to NotesBanao so professional notes can be generated and downloaded from the NotesBanao portal. Open your lecture or course video in Chrome. 2. Start NotesBanao from the extension. 3. Continue watching normally while the extension captures the lecture audio. 4. Stop recording or let the selected recording flow finish. 5. NotesBanao prepares clean English notes and makes them available in the portal. NotesBanao is designed for educational use. It is intended for lectures, courses, classes, tutorials, and learning content that the user is allowed to access. Users should only use the extension with content they have permission to view and process. Pricing and NB Points NotesBanao uses NB Points for eligible note generation. Some short usage may be free depending on current pricing rules. Paid generation uses NB Points according to duration-based billing rules shown in the NotesBanao portal. Recharge packs, available balance, and billing rules are shown before payment or inside the signed-in portal. Language support Current support is focused on English lecture audio and English notes. NotesBanao may add support for more languages in the future only after transcription and PDF quality are tested. Data handled by the extension To provide its core feature, NotesBanao may process: - Lecture audio captured after the user starts recording - Transcript text produced from that audio - Generated note content - Page/video metadata needed to identify and organize the note - User account/session information for signed-in portal access - Usage and billing status related to NB Points NotesBanao does not sell user data. NotesBanao does not use lecture audio, transcripts, or generated notes for advertising. Data is used to provide the note-generation service, maintain user history, handle billing/usage, improve reliability, and provide support. Permissions NotesBanao requests only the permissions needed to provide its lecture-note workflow. - tabCapture: used to capture audio from the active browser tab after the user starts recording. - activeTab, scripting, webNavigation, host access: used to detect and work with lecture/video pages across supported websites. - storage: used to store extension state and temporary workflow data. - downloads: used to download generated notes or related files. - offscreen: used to process audio/transcription tasks in a browser-supported offscreen document. The extension does not try to take control of unrelated browsing activity. Recording is user-initiated and can be stopped by the user. Remote model files For browser-side transcription, the extension may download approved speech model data files from NotesBanao’s model hosting domain. These are model data files, not remote executable extension code. Extension code is bundled with the Chrome extension package. Account and portal Some features require signing in to NotesBanao. Generated notes, recharge status, NB Points balance, and note history are managed through the NotesBanao portal.
