Save what you read to your journal, keep the words you want to learn as flashcards, and jot down quick notes -- no account needed for that last one. JOT NOTES, NO ACCOUNT NEEDED The side panel always has a Notes box: a word to look up later, a question for your teacher, anything you want to keep to hand while you read. It works the moment you install the extension, kept right in this browser. Connect a free BibNews account later and it moves there too, so it follows you to any browser you connect. SAVE ANY ARTICLE TO YOUR JOURNAL Right-click any article and choose "Save full article to BibNews journal". The extension pulls out the article's own text (headings, paragraphs, lists and quotes) and leaves the menus, ads, sidebars and comments behind. It lands in your BibNews journal as a clean, readable entry with a link back to the page. • Save the whole article, just the passage you select, or only a link. • Add your own note as you save. • Choose a journal, and save as a new entry or add to one you're already writing. • In the side panel, "Add selection" gathers several passages from a page into one entry before you save. KEEP THE WORDS YOU WANT TO LEARN Select a word or short phrase, then right-click "Add to BibNews flashcards" or press Alt+Shift+F. The flashcard keeps the sentence the word came from, so its definition matches the meaning you met, plus a link back to the page. Review it in Study on BibNews with the rest of your cards. A SIDE PANEL BESIDE YOUR READING Click the toolbar icon to open BibNews next to the page. It stays open as you read and move between tabs and articles, with a Journal tab and a Flashcard tab. Click "Allow on all sites" once and it picks up the words and passages you select on every page, without clicking the icon again. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • The extension reads a page only when you use it: its menu, its shortcuts, or the side panel you opened. • The extension sends what you save to BibNews and nowhere else. No browsing history is collected. (To draft a flashcard's definition, BibNews sends the word and its sentence to its AI provider, as the Privacy Policy explains.) • Your journal is private to you. Journal text is encrypted on our servers. • Each browser connects with its own access token, which you can disconnect at any time from the extension or from BibNews. • Notes stay in this browser until you connect an account -- nothing is sent anywhere until then.
