The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Noterva Scholar
Noterva Scholar helps researchers judge a source at a glance. On every Google Scholar results and author-profile page it shows how the journal behind each paper is rated, and clearly marks any paper that has been retracted. So you can tell a strong venue from a weak one without leaving the page.
WHAT IT DOES
• Shows each journal's standing from the major academic quality lists, including ABDC, the ABS/AJG Academic Journal Guide, Scopus CiteScore, SCImago, HCÉRES and FT50. Scopus and SCImago are shown as separate signals rather than combined.
• Marks retracted articles with a clear warning so you do not cite withdrawn work by mistake.
• Opens a paper's abstract on request, sorts a page of results by citation count, and adds a simple filter and count toolbar.
• Lets you export or save a reference for your citation manager or as a spreadsheet, carrying the full venue record: journal, ISSN, volume, issue, pages, DOI and publisher.
• Keeps a personal library of the journals and papers you follow, synced across your devices with a single Noterva account.
• Looks up ratings, abstracts and retraction status from the public Crossref and OpenAlex databases, together with Noterva's own record service.
HOW ACCESS WORKS
Free to install. A short free trial unlocks the full extension, then a Noterva subscription; one account unlocks Premium across the Noterva extensions. Without an account, you can still use the journal-search tool in the toolbar popup. Manage it in the extension or the Noterva dashboard.
HONEST BY DESIGN
Ratings are third-party classifications reproduced for reference and may contain occasional errors.
To resolve a rating, abstract, or retraction status, the extension queries public databases with a result's title or DOI — never your search terms, never your browsing history, never personal data.
It runs only on Google Scholar. No ads. No selling data. No cross-site tracking.
