This extension fixes exactly that annoyance. Don't Darken My Video completely removes the shadows, dark overlays, and black gradients that web players apply over the video when the controls are active. You can pause, skip ahead, or turn up the volume without losing visibility or brightness anywhere in the scene. Key Features: Install and forget: No complicated menus or buttons to configure. Just install it and it will work silently in the background. Smart design: The native controls (play, pause, volume) still work perfectly and disappear when they should; the only thing we remove is that annoying background shadow.
