No More Dark | Simply Brighten Dark YouTube & Twitch Videos

Have you ever watched a dark game stream or night scene and thought, “I wish this were just a little brighter”? No More Dark is a simple Chrome extension for brightening YouTube and Twitch videos. It applies brightness correction to the video area, making dark and hard-to-see scenes easier to view. It is not intended to be a complex color adjustment tool with many detailed settings. “Brighten only the video, only as much as needed, right when you need it.” That is the simple purpose of No More Dark. Main features: • Brighten the video area on YouTube and Twitch • Switch between Quality mode and Lightweight mode • Adjust brightness and volume from the on-video control panel • Control the current video from the toolbar popup • View the current FPS in both the control panel and popup • Move the on-video control panel and save its position for each video • Set brightness to 0% to turn correction OFF, then turn it back ON to restore the previous brightness • Save brightness settings for each video • Open the control panel from the right-click menu • Toggle correction ON/OFF with a keyboard shortcut • Japanese and English interface support Useful when: • A dark scene in a game stream is difficult to see • Horror, night, or dark indoor scenes are hard to follow • You want to brighten only a YouTube or Twitch video • You prefer a simple tool over a complicated video adjustment extension • You want to improve the visibility of the video without brightening the entire screen Brightness settings and control panel positions for individual videos are stored locally in your browser. This extension is not an official feature of YouTube or Twitch. About the display modes: Quality mode mainly brightens dark areas while limiting changes to brighter areas. It helps preserve the video’s natural overall appearance, but playback may stutter in some environments. Lightweight mode brightens the entire image evenly while helping reduce playback load. Compared with Quality mode, the image may appear slightly washed out. If playback stutters in Quality mode, switch to Lightweight mode. You can also use the FPS shown in the control panel and popup as a guide when choosing a display mode.
