New Tab replaces Chrome's new-tab page with a simple, good-looking dashboard you can shape to fit how you actually work. Make it yours • Arrange your shortcuts: icon size, spacing, columns, and where the grid sits. • Group shortcuts into folders and spread them over multiple pages, each with its own layout if you want. Give every folder a shared style or customize one folder’s placement, spacing, title, opacity, and blur independently. • Preview folder changes live in Settings, so you can refine the layout before opening the folder. • Get the right icon every time — automatic favicons, 1,800+ icons from the open-source Dashboard Icons set, your own image URL, or an uploaded file. • Set your background: gradient, solid color, or your own image, with blur. • Choose your font: the built-in one, a system font, an uploaded font, or a Google Font. • Restyle the settings panel itself, and move, replace, or hide the settings button. Built to be quick • Icons are cached on your device, so they load instantly and stay sharp on 4K screens. • Jump between pages with on-screen arrows, page dots, or the keyboard, and assign number keys to your favorite shortcuts. • An optional search bar uses your browser's own default search engine — no redirects and no separate search provider. Size and shape it as you like. Handy extras • Import a folder of bookmarks in one click. • Drag to reorder, drag into folders, and launch your whole routine with one "Open All" button. • Back up your setup to a file and restore it on any computer. Private by design: No tracking, analytics, advertising, account, or developer server. Your shortcuts and settings are stored in your Chrome profile. To retrieve an automatic icon, only the shortcut origin is sent over HTTPS to Google's favicon service. Dashboard Icons, Google Fonts, and image hosts you choose are contacted only when you use those features. Bookmark access is optional and begins only after you click Load Bookmarks.
