About Netflix Dual & Spoken Subtitles

Watch Netflix with two subtitle languages on screen at the same time — for example the original language on top and your own language below — and optionally have one of them read aloud. WHAT IT DOES • Dual subtitles: pick any two of the subtitle languages Netflix offers for the video and both appear on the video, one line above the other. • Full styling: font, size, weight, colour, background, edge, position and gap for each line separately. • Read aloud: hear the chosen line spoken by your browser's built-in voices (free), by voices that run on your own device (ZeroTTS for Vietnamese; Kokoro for English, Spanish, French, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese and Chinese — downloaded once, then offline), or by an AI voice through your own OpenRouter or OpenAI key. • Shadowing mode: every line plays twice, once per language, and the video waits until the spoken line is finished — made for language learners. • Dialogue filter (optional): while a translated line is spoken, the original dialogue is lowered and the music and effects kept, so the two voices do not fight. • Picture in picture: pop the video out into a small floating window with both subtitle lines, from the popup or the right-click menu on Netflix; read-aloud keeps playing. HOW TO USE 1. Open any Netflix video. 2. Click the extension icon and choose your two languages under "Dual subtitles". 3. Optionally turn on "Read aloud" in the Voice tab. PRIVACY The extension has no server and collects nothing. Settings stay in your Chrome profile. If you add an API key it is stored locally on your device only and sent only to the provider it belongs to, and only for the subtitle lines you chose to hear. See the privacy policy for details. Requires a Netflix subscription. AI voices are optional and billed by OpenRouter or OpenAI under your own account; the built-in browser voice is free. This extension is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Netflix, Inc.
