The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Natural Dark Mode
Natural Dark Mode turns bright webpages into a comfortable dark theme—without the ugly, washed-out look of full-page invert filters.
WHAT IT DOES
• Replaces light backgrounds with deep, low-saturation darks (#121212–#1e1e1e)
• Raises dark text to high-contrast light (#e0e0e0–#f5f5f5) for easy reading
• Softens colored UI (links, buttons, borders, cards) while keeping hues recognizable
• Leaves images, video, canvas, and SVG alone (no invert)—only a subtle readability tweak
• Skips or lightly adjusts sites that are already dark
WHAT IT DOESN’T DO
• Does not change layout, spacing, animations, or page structure
• Does not break forms, focus states, or site scripts
• Does not invert the whole page with filter: invert
• Does not collect browsing data or sell user information
HOW TO USE
1. Click the extension icon and turn Dark mode on
2. Or press Alt+Shift+D to toggle anytime
3. Use “Reset to default” to turn it off and restore the saved default (off)
Your preference is saved and applies across tabs and browser restarts.
PRIVACY
Natural Dark Mode runs locally in your browser. Preferences stay on your device (chrome.storage.local). No accounts, no tracking, no remote code.
Perfect for late-night reading, low-light work, and reducing eye strain on bright sites—while keeping pages looking natural.
