Nakshatra — Daily Vedic Forecast

Your day, read by the stars — privately, on your device. Nakshatra turns your birth chart into a fresh, classical Vedic reading every day. Enter your date, time and place of birth once; each time you open the extension it casts the current sky against your chart and shows what the day holds. WHAT YOU GET EVERY DAY • An overall day grade with a one-line summary. • Your active Vimshottari Dasha periods (life chapter → current sub-theme). • Tara Bala and Chandra Bala — the Moon-cycle “substrate” of the day. • Gochara — planetary transits from your Moon, with the classical Vedha (obstruction) check, Sade Sati status, and precise transit-to-natal contacts. • The Panchang — weekday, tithi, paksha, yoga and karana. • The Moon’s current nakshatra and pada. • Clear “good for” / “go easy on” suggestions and a confidence band. • Your full birth-chart summary (Lagna, Rashi, and all nine grahas). ACCURATE, NOT HAND-WAVY The astronomy is a faithful port of a Swiss-Ephemeris-grade engine — sidereal Lahiri positions, Vimshottari dasha, and Whole-Sign gochara — validated to arc-minute precision against the reference implementation. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Your birth details and chart never leave your device; they’re stored in local browser storage only. No accounts, no analytics, and nothing about you is sent to any server. An optional city search (only when you look up a place) converts a place name into coordinates using a free, key-less geocoding service. GROUNDED IN THE CLASSICS Interpretation follows Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra, Phaladeepika and Saravali, in the tradition of B. V. Raman and K. N. Rao. This is decision-support — tendencies and timing windows — not prophecy. Your choices matter most.
