mytakes

MyTakes lets you build a personal layer on top of the web. Highlight any text on any page, attach a note, and it's there waiting for you the next time you visit. No copy-pasting into a separate app. No losing track of where you read something. Your thoughts live exactly where they belong — on the page. ── WHAT YOU CAN DO ── • Highlight text or entire elements on any webpage • Attach a note to any highlight ("your take") • Right-click to annotate without selecting text first • Everything syncs to your account — available on any device • Browse all your takes in the dashboard, sorted by date or URL • Share takes with an audience — colleagues, a study group, a team • Control who sees what: public audiences (join via link) or private (you approve each member) ── WHO IT'S FOR ── Researchers who want to annotate sources as they read them. Students building notes across multiple pages. Teams who want to share commentary on shared reading. Anyone who thinks "I should remember this" more than they'd like to admit. ── HOW IT WORKS ── Select text on any page → a toolbar appears → write your note → done. Your highlight is restored every time you return to that page. Open the dashboard to see everything in one place. Share individual takes with an audience and they'll see your highlights in purple when they visit the same page. ── PRIVACY ── Your data is yours. Takes are stored privately in your account and never shared unless you explicitly choose to. See our full privacy policy for details.
