The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Mysterion Verify
Mysterion Verify checks whether images, videos, and PDFs on any web page carry a valid Mysterion cryptographic signature — so you can tell authentic content from altered or fabricated media.
Right-click, hover or "verify all" for any image or video (or open a signed PDF) and choose "Verify with Mysterion." The extension recovers the invisible embedded watermark locally in your browser using WebAssembly, then confirms the creator's post-quantum signature (ML-DSA-87, FIPS 204) and RFC 3161 timestamp against the Mysterion platform.
A badge shows the verdict:
- Verified — origin and identity confirmed, content intact
- Verified Origin · Content Altered — signed, but changed since signing
- Mark Present · Content Not Matched — a valid mark, but the content matches nothing the creator signed
- Unverified Match — looks like a signed original, but no identity survives in the file
- Synthetic Declared — the creator declared it AI-generated
- Unknown Origin — no provenance found
Verification runs locally and no account is required. Your files never leave your device — only a cryptographic hash of the media you choose to verify is sent to look up its signing record. The extension does not read your browsing history or the pages you visit.
