About My IP - VPN test

Stop guessing whether your VPN is active. My IP - VPN test gives you a fast, clear status in one click. WHY YOU'LL LIKE IT - One-glance VPN status in the Chrome toolbar badge - Save your Home IP (VPN OFF) and compare instantly - Current public IP and location in the popup - Anonymity checks: timezone mismatch, hosting heuristic, suspicious hostname, WebRTC leak signal - Manual checks plus recent history to spot changes quickly HOW IT WORKS - Save your Home IP with VPN OFF - Turn VPN ON - Check badge and popup status PRIVACY FIRST - Requests only to retrieve current public IP and location - No access to tabs, browsing history, or page content - All extension data is stored locally in your browser PERMISSIONS - `alarms`: periodic checks every 15 minutes - `windows`: refresh status when Chrome regains focus - `storage`: save baseline, last check, and local history LIMITATIONS - VPN status is inferred from IP change relative to Home IP - If your ISP changes your IP, or VPN keeps the same IP pattern, status may be inaccurate
