About Multiview Companion for YouTube TV™
Watch up to four live YouTube TV channels together in one browser tab with Multiview Companion.
Add channels from live Home cards, the Live guide, or YouTube TV's playback controls. Keep a compact grid in the bottom-right corner while browsing Home and Live, or expand the grid for a larger view.
- Build your own combination of up to four subscribed live channels, including eligible add-ons.
- Choose one audio source or mute every channel.
- Expand one channel, restore the grid, or use grid fullscreen.
- Keep YouTube TV's native playback controls, advertisements, and account protections.
- Remove channels, retry playback, or exit to ordinary viewing.
Newly opened channels start muted. Adding an already-playing channel preserves its current audio. If YouTube TV asks how to begin watching, choose Join live. When a card needs a channel selection, a visible native guide helps you complete it.
The extension is free and requires an eligible U.S. YouTube TV subscription. It provides no channels or subscription access. Live content only; recordings and upcoming programs cannot be added. Channel availability, sign-in, location checks, and simultaneous-viewing limits remain subject to YouTube TV. Each tile is an independent player and may have a different live delay. Four players are not guaranteed to count as one subscription stream.
Channel/program labels, native playback links, and temporary selections stay local on your device. There is no extension account, backend, cloud sync, or analytics. Reloading the active page can recover selections muted; restarting the browser does not automatically resume Multiview.
