MultiTEL Browser Chat App

MultiTEL Browser Chat App brings MultiTEL messaging, verification codes and optional encrypted vault tools to Google Chrome. New customers can sign up for MultiTEL SMS Chat at https://my.multi.tel/register/chat. With a paired SMS-enabled MultiTEL number, you can: • Read and reply to SMS conversations for numbers explicitly assigned to your browser, or start a new conversation. • Receive background message notifications while the extension window is closed. Optional reply cards appear on eligible active HTTPS webpages; review and send replies in a separate extension window. Browser-protected pages use system notifications instead. • Use search, delivery status, automatically saved text drafts, saved replies, image attachments and message actions in a clean SMS Chat workspace. • Pin important messages and view shared pins in the conversation’s Pinned tab, including older messages. • Send with Enter by default, use Shift+Enter for a new line, or save your preferred Enter behavior. Ctrl+Enter and Command+Enter also send. • Enter destination numbers in familiar national formats using the selected sending number’s dialing country, or use an explicit international number. • Click to fill recent, unexpired SMS verification codes matched to the exact HTTPS website. Codes without a website match remain available for manual copying. • Revoke paired browsers or change their number assignments from the MultiTEL portal. Optional password vault and authenticator: • Pair your browser separately with the MultiTEL password vault. SMS pairing alone does not grant password access. • Create and edit login entries, generate passwords and explicitly fill eligible website logins after unlocking your vault. • Opt in to save-login prompts, then review and explicitly save or update a login. No login is saved automatically. • Manage TOTP authenticator entries in your personal vault or an explicitly shared vault you can access. Enroll with a setup key or scan an authenticator QR code on the visible page, then review before saving. A cellphone app is not required. Privacy and security: • SMS access is limited to the numbers assigned to your revocable browser credential. Message history and replies are exchanged with MultiTEL over HTTPS. • Passwords and authenticator secrets are encrypted locally before vault synchronization. Unlocking and explicit review are separate from pairing. • Website access supports code detection, eligible login filling, opt-in save-login review and user-controlled reply cards. QR screenshots are processed locally and are not uploaded or retained. • Codes and credentials are filled only after a user action. Forms are never submitted automatically. • Choose sender-only, full-message or private notification previews. System and browser settings can affect notification availability. • The extension does not sell data, use it for advertising or credit decisions, or execute remotely hosted code. SMS messaging requires a MultiTEL account and an active SMS-enabled MultiTEL number. Vault tools require separate vault pairing.
