Muffler

Muffler automatically handles your audio workspace so you never have to manually pause or lower background tabs again. If you frequently listen to ambient music or lo-fi streams on YouTube while working, studying, or following video tutorials, Muffler is the seamless UX upgrade you need. Key Features: • Smart Auto-Ducking: Dynamically lowers the volume of background YouTube tabs to your custom percentage (defaults to 25%) the exact millisecond you focus on a new media tab. • Seamless Volume Restoration: Instantly restores your background tab to its exact original baseline volume the moment you switch back. • Dynamic Baseline Tracking: Change a video's native volume slider at any time. Muffler automatically recalculates your preferences without breaking the loop. • Context Preservation: Intelligent early-exit guards ensure that switching to non-media tabs (like GitHub, StackOverflow, or documentation) leaves your background audio untouched. • Multi-Monitor Support: Deep integration with window focus changes ensures flawless audio balancing even across multi-screen setups. Completely lightweight, built on Manifest V3, and respects your privacy with zero external tracking or data collection.
