Nothing you record is uploaded, and you can clear it anytime. The product collects only anonymized usage statistics (feature usage and version info) to improve the experience — never your recorded request contents. Permissions: "storage" saves your rules and settings; "activeTab" and "scripting" inject the interception script into the current page for recording and mocking; "declarativeNetRequest" powers request forwarding; host permissions let it run on whatever site you are debugging (you can narrow this to specific sites in Chrome's extension details).
