Mindful YouTube adds a gentle, calming pause — and an optional daily limit — to the specific YouTube channels you tend to watch too much. Instead of blocking the whole site, it brings intention to the handful of channels that pull you in. When you open a video from a channel you've added, a quiet full-screen breathing screen appears with your own message and a short countdown. The video stays paused and muted until the wait is over. When you're ready, you click Continue — a small, deliberate moment to ask yourself whether this is how you want to spend your time right now. You set your own daily view limit per channel. Once you hit it, that channel is paused for the rest of the day and resets automatically at midnight.
