Meetings Brief: Live transcription & AI briefs

Turn meetings in Chrome into live transcripts, summaries and action items. Meetings Brief works with Google Meet, Zoom on the web and Microsoft Teams on the web. Follow the conversation in Chrome's side panel, then review an AI meeting brief. No meeting bot joins your call. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Read a live transcript alongside your meeting. • Include your microphone to capture your own voice. • Close the side panel while transcription continues. • Get an AI brief with a summary and action items, or copy or download the transcript. • Choose optional email delivery through the Meetings Brief website. GET STARTED Pin the extension, prepare a supported speech-recognition language, and open Meetings Brief from your meeting tab. Chrome may need to download a language pack before your first meeting. Enable your microphone to include your own voice, and let participants know you are taking notes. FINISH YOUR MEETING Choose "Stop and get the brief", or "Stop without a brief" to keep and export the transcript without generating an AI brief. With at least 150 words captured and recognition finishing normally, stopping for a brief or closing the meeting tab opens the brief automatically. After 150 words, three minutes without speech also triggers a check: you have 30 seconds to continue before transcription stops and the brief opens. If capture is interrupted, review the saved transcript before choosing to get a brief. Shorter transcripts remain available to copy or download. AUDIO, TRANSCRIPTS AND PRIVACY Speech recognition runs on your computer. The extension does not upload or save your audio. When an AI brief opens, including automatically, transcript text is sent through meetingsbrief.com to Anthropic for processing. Email delivery is optional and uses Resend. After you choose delivery and confirm an address, briefs can be emailed there automatically. The extension keeps an encrypted local recovery transcript. Download important transcripts before clearing browser data or removing the extension. Speech recognition and AI summaries can make mistakes; review important names, decisions and action items. REQUIREMENTS Google Chrome 139 or later on Windows, macOS or Linux, with an available on-device speech-recognition language. Capture works with the selected Chrome tab; separate desktop meeting apps and other browsers are not captured. An internet connection is needed for language downloads and AI briefs.
