About mcpX Browser Automation

mcpX connects AI applications to your browser through the Model Context Protocol. With the mcpX Chrome extension and local MCP server, compatible AI clients can inspect pages, open and manage tabs, click elements, type text, select options, scroll, capture screenshots, monitor console output, and test browser workflows locally. How to connect: 1. Install this Chrome extension. 2. Run the local MCP server with: npx -y @rpx_/mcpx 3. Add mcpX as an MCP server in your AI client, such as Cursor, VS Code, or Windsurf. 4. Click Connect browser in the extension. The extension connects only to the local mcpX server on your machine. Pairing is handled automatically, so users do not need to copy terminal tokens during normal setup. Learn more: https://mcpx.rudrx.cloud
