About Math Lens
Math Lens puts interactive graphs, formulas, and vocabulary beside your online math lesson in Chrome’s side panel. Explore a concept with separate practice values while you work through the problem yourself.
GRAPHS & SHAPES
Explore 28 graph and shape tools. Change parameters, plot and edit ordered points, zoom or pan the coordinate plane, and use Undo or Reset. The graph uses bundled practice values rather than numbers copied from your current question.
FORMULAS & VOCABULARY
Browse lesson recommendations or search more than 550 local formula and vocabulary entries. Notes explain mathematical ideas with worked examples and diagrams. Click a diagram to enlarge, zoom, and pan it. Reviewed examples that match a graph tool can also be adjusted. Search understands common student phrases, notation, and selected misspellings.
LESSON RECOMMENDATIONS
Math Lens recognizes supported math lessons from the current page’s lesson context. Recommendations run on your device. If the topic is wrong, use Choose topic to select an existing reference topic, or choose a graph manually. Untitled Desmos calculators and unsupported pages still offer the local reference library.
LOOK UP SELECTED TEXT
On an HTTP or HTTPS page, highlight a math term or expression, right-click, and choose Look up with Math Lens. Only the text you select is used for this lookup; Math Lens does not read the surrounding page on other sites.
PRIVACY & LEARNING
No Math Lens account, subscription, AI service, analytics, or advertising is needed. Lesson context, searches, and graph inputs are processed in memory on your device, with no Math Lens server requests or persistent lesson history. Math Lens does not fill answer boxes, choose answers, or submit work. Incidental personal details in ordinary lesson text may be processed locally; see the privacy policy.
GETTING STARTED
Open a supported math lesson, then click the Math Lens toolbar icon. You can also explore graphs and search references without a lesson. Chrome 116 or later is required. School-managed devices may need administrator approval.
Math Lens is an independent project. Lesson detection may need updates when learning sites change their pages.
