About Marque Time Tracker
Marque Time Tracker starts, stops and syncs timers for Marque (marquecrm.com) straight from your
browser toolbar — no tab-switching to log what you're working on.
WHAT IT DOES
• A live timer in the toolbar popup, with the elapsed time on the badge
• Detects which client or project page you're on inside Marque and pre-fills the timer
• Quick-start your five most recent client/project/description combinations
• Idle detection — if you step away with a timer running, you're asked when you're back whether to
keep the time, trim it to when you went idle, or discard it
• Offline-safe — a stop or discard made without a connection is kept and sent once Marque is reachable
again, never silently dropped
• Today's log, right in the popup
AUTOMATIC TRACKING (entirely optional, off by default)
Marque can also notice which of your clients' websites has your attention and bank the time itself,
so you never have to remember to start a timer for browsing work. This is off for every install until
you turn it on, and it's three separate choices, each off until you tick it:
1. Track my clients' sites — hostnames (never full page addresses) that match a client of yours
2. Also record other sites — for you to sort into a client afterwards
3. Include Claude conversations — matched by the conversation and Claude Project titles on claude.ai
Automatic tracking records hostnames, start and end times, and duration. If you enable Claude
tracking, it also uses conversation and Claude Project titles to identify your work. It never
records full URLs, query strings, message bodies or anything you type. Automatically captured time is
never billable on its own: it sits apart from your real time entries until you (or someone with the
right permission in your agency) reviews it and logs it.
You can turn any of this off at any time from the extension's own Settings screen, which says exactly
what is collected and links to the full privacy policy.
WHO THIS IS FOR
You need a Marque account (marquecrm.com) to use this — it's the browser companion to the product, not
a standalone tool. If your agency doesn't use Marque yet, marquecrm.com has a free trial.
PERMISSIONS, IN PLAIN ENGLISH
See the "Permissions" section of this listing, and the in-depth explanation in the extension's own
README, for exactly why each permission is requested and what it's used for. Nothing here is requested
speculatively for a feature that doesn't exist yet.
