The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.

About Marker:HELPER

Marker:HELPER lets you highlight any element on a web page by hovering, pin it with a numbered marker by clicking, and review, copy, and export the CSS / XPath selectors in the side panel. It is useful for collecting selectors for UI tests, pointing out issues in design reviews, and identifying scraping targets. ■ Marking • Hover highlight: the element under the cursor is outlined in real time. • Click to mark: pins a numbered outline on the element. Click the same element again to remove it. • The page's DOM is never modified. Markers are drawn on a separate overlay layer and follow scrolling and resizing. • Customize the outline: color, line style (solid / dashed / dotted), width, padding, border radius, and corner shape (round, squircle, bevel, scoop, notch, square, or a custom superellipse value). • My Colors: save up to 18 favorite colors. • Number badges can be shown or hidden globally or per marker, and placed at any of the four corners. ■ Side panel • Lists every marker with its tag, text, CSS selector, and XPath. • Copy selectors one by one or all at once. • Robustness indicator shows whether each selector is likely to break (stable / fair / fragile). • Edit a selector directly to re-attach the marker to a different element. • Add notes and group tags to markers, and filter the list by tag, selector, text, note, or group. • Reorder markers by dragging or with the move buttons; numbers are renumbered automatically. • Jump to a marker on the page, and change a marker's style afterwards. ■ Screenshots and reports • Save or copy a PNG of just the marked element, with or without outlines and numbers. • Tall elements are captured in full by stitching scrolled screenshots. • Save images of all markers at once. • Save an annotated HTML report with numbers, groups, selectors, notes, and screenshots. Print it to PDF from the browser. • Open the list in a separate window so the page keeps its full width while capturing. ■ Export and import • Export as JSON, CSV, Markdown, or Playwright / Cypress test code. • Restore markers from JSON via file selection, drag and drop, or pasting. • Markers are auto-saved per URL for the browser session and restored when you reopen the page. ■ Keyboard shortcuts • Alt+Shift+M: toggle marking mode • Alt+Shift+. / Alt+Shift+, : scroll to the next / previous marker (You can change them at chrome://extensions/shortcuts.) ■ Language • The popup and side panel can be switched between Japanese and English. ■ Privacy • No data is collected or sent anywhere. Settings and auto-saved markers are stored only on your device (chrome.storage). • No remote code is used. ■ Limitations • Does not work on browser internal pages such as chrome://, the Chrome Web Store, or file:// URLs without file access permission. • Markers track element references, so if the page re-renders and the element disappears, the marker is shown as "Lost".
