About Markdown Cleaner

Markdown Cleaner turns the page you choose, or selected text on it, into Markdown. Click the toolbar button to copy the page. Use the context menu to copy a selection or open a preview, where you can copy or download a .md file. It extracts the main content and converts headings, links, images, lists, simple tables and code blocks. The result is plain text you can paste into any AI chat or coding agent, a notes app, or a document. Some complex pages may need a quick edit after conversion. Optional Pro ($5 a month, cancel any time) keeps harder content: merged table cells, code block languages, maths as LaTeX, content in embedded frames, and whole Reddit threads and GitHub issue and pull request threads. Everything above stays free. Conversion happens in your browser when you use the extension. The page text, page address and browsing history are not sent to Cowerx. The free conversion does not require an account.
