MailTag

MailTag sorts your email into categories and saved views, so the email that needs you is never buried under newsletters, receipts and notifications. This extension brings those views to your browser's toolbar, so you can see what's waiting without opening another tab. WHAT IT DOES • A number on the toolbar icon: how many emails are in the view you choose, the same number you see on that view's tab in MailTag's Activity. • One click opens the view's latest emails: sender, subject, category, whether you've read them, and the time they arrived. • Switch views from the icon: Pending, Needs reply, All labeled, or any view you've saved in MailTag. The number on the icon follows the view you pick. • Click an email to open it in your mail app (Gmail opens the exact email), or open the view in MailTag. • Optional notifications when new email arrives in your view. If MailTag marks an email as dangerous, the notification says so. • Emails that MailTag's safety check marks as doubtful or dangerous carry the same small mark you see in MailTag, so you think twice before clicking a link. • English and Spanish, light and dark, following your MailTag account and your browser. YOU DECIDE WHAT IT SEES When you connect the extension, you choose which mailboxes, which emails (all, some categories or some saved views, and how far back) and whether it may show senders, subjects and read state. You can change this or disconnect it at any time in MailTag → Settings → Agents, or sign out from the extension. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • It only talks to mailtag.app. Nothing is sent anywhere else. • It never receives the text of your emails or attachments. • It only reads: it can't send, delete, move or change anything in your mailbox. • Your sign-in and the last list it showed stay in your browser until you sign out.
