LXP Canvas Connector

The LXP Canvas Connector links your Canvas LMS account to LXP using the Canvas session you already have open in your browser — no Canvas API token required. WHO IT'S FOR Instructors and administrators whose institution uses LXP alongside Canvas. You need an LXP account to use this extension. WHY IT EXISTS Connecting LXP to Canvas normally means generating a long-lived Canvas API access token and pasting it between systems — fiddly, and it leaves a permanent credential lying around. This extension uses the Canvas login you already have instead, so connecting takes one click. HOW IT WORKS 1. In LXP, open your Canvas integration settings and start a connection. 2. The extension asks your permission to access that one Canvas site, naming it explicitly. Nothing happens until you approve. 3. Sign in to Canvas as you normally would, if you aren't already. 4. LXP is connected, and can read your courses and write back grades and feedback — with your permissions, never more. WHAT IT CAN AND CANNOT ACCESS This extension installs with no access to any website. It can only read the Canvas site you explicitly approve, and only after you approve it. It cannot read your browsing history, your other tabs, or any other site. You can see which Canvas sites you've approved by clicking the extension's toolbar icon, and remove any of them at any time. The extension contains no analytics and no tracking of any kind. PRIVACY Your Canvas session is sent only to LXP, to act in Canvas on your behalf.
