The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Loopo
Loopo is a local-first website quota extension.
It is not a focus timer and it is not a punitive blocker. You choose the sites that tend to take more time than intended, give each one a daily time quota, and Loopo quietly redirects that site to a calm local lock page after the quota is used. At the next UTC midnight, the next daily quota begins.
Use Loopo to:
- Set a daily browsing quota for social media, video sites, forums, news sites, or any site you choose
- Check today's usage and remaining time from the extension popup
- Manage site rules, default quotas, and local data from the options page
- Replace harsh blocking screens with a calm reminder that your time for the day is complete
Privacy principles:
- All rules and usage records stay in your browser on this device
- No account is required
- No browsing data is uploaded
- No remote code is executed
- No ads, tracking, or analytics SDKs are included
How it works:
1. Add a website domain from the welcome page, popup, or options page.
2. Choose how much time you want to give it each day.
3. While the chosen site is visible and active, Loopo counts usage with a lightweight heartbeat.
4. Once the quota is exhausted, future visits are redirected to the local lock page.
5. The quota resets automatically at UTC midnight.
Loopo does not decide which sites are good or bad. It gives you a quieter way to keep your browsing rhythm intentional.
