Lokafile does image and PDF work the way it should have always been done: on your own machine. Every tool runs in your browser. Files are read from disk, processed in memory and saved back to your downloads folder. Nothing is uploaded, because there is nowhere to upload it to — this extension requests no permissions and has no network access at all. Check the permissions list: it's empty.
