About Logo & Image DPI Checker for Print
Most print jobs go wrong before anything is printed, because the logo was never going to
work. A JPEG pulled from an email signature. A PNG with a white box behind it. A
photograph someone wants engraved. You find out after the proof, or worse, after the
delivery.
Drop the file in here first.
WHAT IT TELLS YOU
Vector or raster, and what that means for your job.
How sharp it will be at the size it is actually printed — not the size of the file. Pick a
typical imprint area or type in your own millimetres, and it works out the real resolution.
If your square logo is going into a long thin pen area, it tells you it will only print
7 mm wide and leave the rest empty.
How many inks are really in there. Anti-aliased edges are ignored, so a two-colour logo
reads as two colours whether the file is 64 pixels or 4,000.
Whether the background is transparent, or a solid box that will print as a visible
rectangle on a coloured garment.
Which methods suit it — screen printing, DTF, vinyl, sublimation, embroidery, UV printing
and laser engraving — with the reason for each. A photograph cannot be engraved. A
six-colour mark means six screens.
And what to do about it, in plain words you can forward to your designer.
PRIVACY
Your file is read in the browser and never uploaded. No permissions, no network requests,
no tracking, no account. It works offline. If you are checking an unreleased logo, it does
not leave your machine.
