The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Local PDF Kit — Merge, Split, Rotate Offline
Most PDF tools ask you to upload your file to their server first. Contracts,
payslips, medical forms, ID scans — all of it, onto someone else's machine.
Local PDF Kit does the work inside your browser instead. Your files are never
uploaded. Open it with no internet connection and everything still works.
WHAT IT DOES
• Merge — combine any number of PDFs into one, in the order you choose
• Pages — keep, delete or reorder pages with a simple range like "1-3, 9, 12"
• Rotate — turn selected pages 90°, 180° or 270°, keeping existing rotation
• Split — save every page as its own file
ZERO PERMISSIONS
This extension asks for no permissions at all. Not storage, not tabs, not access
to any website. Check the install dialog — there is nothing to accept.
That means it cannot read the pages you visit, your history, or your downloads.
It can only open its own page when you click its icon.
NO NETWORK, EVER
It makes no network request of any kind. Not on install, not on launch, not
while editing. Open your network inspector and watch it stay empty.
FREE
Every feature above is free, with no watermarks, no daily limits, and no
account. Nothing is held back.
GOOD TO KNOW
• Works on any PDF your browser can read, including large ones.
• Password-protected files must be unlocked before editing.
• Splitting produces several files, so Chrome will ask once for permission to
save multiple downloads.
Built for people who handle documents that should not be sent to a stranger's
server. That is the whole idea.
