The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About LinkScan – Broken Link Checker
LinkScan is a free broken link checker Chrome extension for checking the page you’re working on—without opening every link yourself.
Scan the whole page or select part of it to check only those links. Review results in Chrome’s side panel, locate problem links on the page, and copy findings for fixes.
WHAT LINKSCAN CHECKS
• Broken links, HTTP errors and unreachable destinations.
• Redirect chains, loops, redirects to not-found URLs and unexpected homepage redirects.
• Missing same-page anchor targets.
• Local/private addresses and recognised staging or preview URLs.
• HTTP links, including links that upgrade to HTTPS.
• Slow successful responses.
• Empty or unclear link text and missing destinations.
• Login requirements, recognised bot challenges, rate limits and timeouts—reported separately from broken links.
FIX AND SHARE FINDINGS
• Locate each link on the page.
• Re-check individual links when you need fresh results.
• Copy issues as text or as a table for Google Sheets or Excel.
• Mark known issues to exclude them from issue counts.
• Revisit saved page scans in History, browse pages by domain, and review checked URLs across pages.
FREE AND LOCAL
No account required. Scan results stay in your browser’s local storage. Link checks send requests to linked websites without your cookies.
KNOW THE LIMITS
LinkScan checks one page at a time; it does not crawl your entire website. It does not validate anchors on other pages or detect every error page that returns HTTP 200. Some destinations require a manual check.
