LingoHey helps you learn English while you read anything on the web: look up words, translate sentences, read pages side by side with their translation, and keep every word you looked up in a vocabulary list. 📖 Look up words instantly • Double-click or select a word to see US / UK phonetics, pronunciation and concise definitions — the 10,000 most common words open instantly from a built-in dictionary • Inflected forms are explained (showed → past tense of show) • URLs, file names and code identifiers are split into real words (getElementById → get / element / by / id) • AI explains what the word means in the sentence you found it in (free daily quota when signed in) 📝 Translate sentences • Select a sentence or paragraph to translate it; long passages are shown sentence by sentence, side by side • Drag, pin and resize cards; a pinned card updates as you keep selecting • Open results in Chrome's side panel to keep reading without cards covering the page 🌐 Side-by-side page translation • One click (Alt+A) shows each paragraph of the article followed by its translation • Smart scope: translates the main content and skips navigation, file names and code — choose Focused / Main content / Main + long sentences / Full page for each website • Hold Alt (⌥) and click any paragraph to translate just that part • English comments in code blocks are translated too, without touching the code 📚 Vocabulary list • When signed in, every word you look up is saved — grouped by its base form, with the sentence and page where you met it — to review at ext.lingohey.com • Privacy first: a notice before anything is saved, sensitive URL parameters removed, nothing recorded in incognito windows, on private networks or sign-in pages; exclude sites or delete records any time 🧘 Stays out of your way • Sentences show a small icon first; triple-clicks, copying and code areas don't pop up cards • Pause on this page, turn off for a site, or turn off everywhere; Alt+Shift+L pauses the current page • Hides during full-screen videos; light and dark themes; Chinese and English interface Note: definitions and translations are currently provided in Simplified Chinese.
