Lingofessor

Turn the shows and videos you already watch into your language course. Lingofessor adds dual subtitles to YouTube and Netflix, explains any word with one click — for the exact sentence you clicked, not a generic dictionary entry — and turns the words you save into spaced-repetition reviews scheduled by FSRS, the same science behind modern Anki. THE COMPREHENSIBLE-INPUT TOOLKIT • Dual subtitles: your target language + your language, right on the player • One-click explanations: meaning in context, register, pronunciation you can read • Click a word → save it, or mark it known • Known-word tracking: every video gets a % score of what you'll understand, so you always pick content at your level • Built-in reviews with fresh practice sentences — no export ritual, no Anki setup • Interactive transcripts with word-level seeking • Browse-page badges show which videos have real subtitles in your language — and how much of them you'll understand HONEST BY DESIGN • Auto-generated captions are labeled "auto" — machines mishear • If a video has no captions in your language, we say so instead of guessing • Flip the toggle off and YouTube/Netflix behave exactly as stock • No injected ads, no tracking, no video or audio capture — ever FREE FOREVER, PRO IF YOU'RE SERIOUS The free plan includes unlimited dual subtitles and transcripts, daily AI explanations, and a 30-word review deck. Pro removes the ceilings — or pay once with Pro Lifetime and keep it forever. Works with the YouTube and Netflix subscriptions you already have. Lingofessor never captures, records, or redistributes video or audio. A modern alternative to Language Reactor — actively built, actively supported.
