The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Lingo Gapfy: Train Your Ear with YouTube Subtitles
🎵 Enjoy listening practice with your favorite videos
🎬 Works on YouTube videos with subtitles
🔄 Replay difficult phrases until you hear every word
🚫 Practice for free, with no ads inside the extension
🦊 An alternative to LingQ or Language Reactor, Yabla, LingoClip, built right into YouTube
Lingo Gapfy is a Chrome extension that turns YouTube subtitles into active listening practice. Passive subtitles make videos easier to follow, but they do not always train your ear. With Lingo Gapfy, each subtitle line becomes a short gap-fill exercise: listen carefully, type the missing words, and use Replay to hear difficult phrases again until they click. It is a simple way to spend less time reading and more time truly listening right inside YouTube.
To start training, open a YouTube video, click the Lingo Gapfy fox icon 🦊 in your browser toolbar, and select "Start Exercise".
