Libertad for YouTube — Focus & Distraction-Free

You open YouTube to check a quick 3-minute tutorial, and suddenly an hour is gone. We’ve all been there. Modern YouTube is designed like a casino to keep you clicking — endless feeds, addictive Shorts, clickbait, and now even weird robotic AI dubs replacing creators' real voices. I built Libertad for myself because I was tired of fighting my own attention every day. It’s a simple, lightweight tool that removes the noise and makes YouTube calm again. WHAT IT DOES: • 🚫 No more doomscrolling Hides Shorts carousels completely. Even better: if someone sends you a Shorts link, it opens in the normal desktop player with regular timeline scrubbing and speed controls. • 🧘 A quiet homepage (Zen Mode) Replaces the addictive infinite homepage with a clean, peaceful screen and a search bar. You search for what you came to watch, without getting pulled into recommendations. • ⚡ Works instantly, customize whenever Starts clean in Basic mode right out of the box — zero setup needed. Want pure Monk Mode for studying? Switch with one click. Want your own tailored setup? Save up to 3 custom profiles anytime. • 🎙️ Real creator voices Tired of YouTube forcing unnatural AI-generated voiceovers on international videos? Libertad automatically restores the creator's authentic audio, original titles, and descriptions. • ⏩ Common-sense SponsorBlock & Dislikes Automatically skips sponsored segments (with an instant "Unskip" button if you actually want to watch), and brings back the public dislike counter so you don't waste time on bad tutorials. • 🔒 Fast, clean, and private 100% Vanilla JavaScript. No heavy frameworks, no lag, no accounts, and zero tracking. Everything stays strictly inside your browser. Built with care for students, developers, and anyone who just wants their time back. Hope it brings you some peace of mind!
