About KitiKat — Symbolic Weather Monitor
A small instrument for a very dramatic planet.
KitiKat is a personal art project by Tomislav Rupić, made for fun. Activate it on an article or feed to see a compact Symbolic Weather HUD and removable stickers about rhetorical and procedural patterns.
Four independent signals:
• BOOMER: automatic technological salvation and unexamined risk dismissal.
• DOOMER: catastrophic certainty and panic used as authority.
• HAOPS: circular bureaucracy, contradictory procedures and responsibility diffusion.
• COHERENCE: constructive cooperation, proportional reasoning and evidence changing a position.
Scores can overlap. Constructive progress and structural absurdity can coexist.
Click a sticker to inspect the matched patterns and a short explanation. The HUD reflects recent visible posts instead of accumulating an average forever. Optional local laughter and applause use one audio channel, cooldowns and duplicate suppression. Sound is off until you enable it.
Start only on the tab you choose. The extension reads visible article text locally; it does not continuously screenshot your screen. An optional Image OCR page lets you select an image and read its text using packaged local OCR.
No account, telemetry, remote classification or content upload. No browsing-history database. The classifier is a small, hand-authored English pattern system—not a trained language model, fact checker or calibrated predictor. It can miss context, quotation and paraphrases.
KitiKat analyzes rhetoric and system structure, not people's identities, intelligence or intentions. Legitimate risks remain legitimate. This is satire and pattern visualization, not a verdict.
How to use:
1. Open an ordinary article/feed page.
2. Click the extension icon, then START ON THIS TAB.
3. Enable sound if wanted. Click stickers for explanations.
4. Pause or close the HUD to stop. Activate again after a full page navigation.
New wave. Same panic.
