About Jira for Chrome
Access your assigned Jira Cloud issues, review recent tickets, and browse saved filters without leaving your active browser tab.
Opening Jira in a new tab takes 10 to 15 seconds of loading time. That constant context switching breaks your concentration while coding, reviewing pull requests, or reading documentation. Jira for Chrome displays your essential Jira work in a compact popup in under one second.
Press Alt+J on Windows or Command+J on macOS to open the navigator. Review your next task, check ticket status, copy issue keys, or switch between filters and instances immediately.
Key features:
- **Assigned issues**: View tickets assigned to you across all active projects
- **Recent issues**: Jump back into tickets you visited recently without searching
- **Saved and favorite filters**: Access team boards, active sprint views, and custom Jira filters with one click
- **Multi-site switching**: Toggle between multiple Jira Cloud instances and organizations from a single dropdown
- **Issue creation shortcut**: Open the Jira issue creation dialog directly without navigating to a dashboard
- **Appearance mirroring**: Automatically matches your operating system theme in light or dark mode
