About JaxCAD 3D Design for Kids
Open JaxCAD from your Chrome toolbar and turn big ideas into printable 3D designs.
JaxCAD is easy 3D design software made for kids, families, schools, teachers and educators. Start with simple shapes and quickly build personalised models, classroom projects, prototypes and creative 3D printing designs directly in your browser.
Create with confidence:
* Start with ready-made shapes such as boxes, cylinders, spheres, cones, pyramids, stars, tubes and more.
* Move, rotate, resize, duplicate and combine objects with simple controls.
* Add personalised 3D text, import your own fonts and create name tags, signs, toys and custom designs.
* Refine your models with Cut, Bevel, Chamfer, Offset and Shell tools.
* Choose colours from filament libraries while you design.
* Use preferred filament brands or create custom filament presets to match the colours you have available.
* Save and reopen your JaxCAD project files.
JaxCAD helps children learn through making. Students can explore geometry, measurement, scale, symmetry, spatial reasoning and creative problem-solving while building something they can see, share and print.
Educators can use JaxCAD for classroom challenges, STEM activities, design projects, technology lessons, maker spaces and school 3D printing programs. Set a design task, guide students through the modelling process and turn their ideas into real objects.
When your design is ready, export it in a format that fits your workflow - supports all popular types
Export your model in a slicer-ready format, open it in your preferred 3D printer slicer and prepare it for printing using the settings for your printer, material and chosen filament.
A Google or Microsoft account is required to save projects or export designs. Some advanced features require a paid plan to unlock.
