The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Incognito One-Click - Open Tabs in Incognito
Incognito One-Click opens the page you are already on in an incognito window,
carrying the address across, in a single click. No copying URLs, no opening a
blank private window and pasting.
It also does the things Chrome cannot do on its own.
WHAT CHROME CANNOT DO BY ITSELF
- Move the page you are reading into incognito, address and all
- Add that page to the incognito window you ALREADY have open, instead of
piling up a new window every time
- Match the size and position of the window you came from
- Move a tab back OUT of incognito into a normal window
- Move every tab in the current window to incognito at once
- Close every incognito window with one keystroke
ONE CLICK, THREE WAYS
- Toolbar button: click the icon to open the current tab in incognito
- Right-click menu: "Open this page in Incognito", "Search ... in Incognito",
and "Move this tab to Incognito" from the tab strip
- Keyboard: Alt+Shift+I to open, Alt+Shift+M to move, Alt+Shift+B for a blank
window, Alt+Shift+X to close every incognito window
REUSES YOUR INCOGNITO WINDOW
Most incognito extensions spawn a brand new window every single time, so you end
up with five private windows scattered across your desktop. Incognito One-Click
finds the incognito window you already have and adds a tab to it. If you have
none open, it creates one.
BOTH DIRECTIONS
Already in incognito and want to keep the page? Click the same button and the
tab moves back out into a normal window.
SETTINGS THAT ACTUALLY MATTER
- Reuse an open incognito window, or always open a fresh one
- Close the original tab automatically, turning "open" into a true "move"
- Match the current window's size, maximise, or use Chrome's default
- Remove the address from your browsing history after moving it
- Choose which right-click items appear
- Pick the search engine used for "Search ... in Incognito"
THE LIGHTEST PERMISSIONS IN ITS CATEGORY
Incognito One-Click installs with NO permission warning at all. Chrome shows you
nothing to approve, because there is nothing to approve.
It reads the current tab's address only at the exact moment you click the button,
press the shortcut, or use the right-click menu — and only for that one tab. That
address is used to open the incognito window and is then discarded. It is never
stored, never logged, and never sent anywhere.
Two permissions are optional and are requested only if you use the feature that
needs them:
- Tab access, only if you use "Move all tabs"
- History access, only if you switch on "Remove this address from history"
You can decline both and the extension still does its main job.
PRIVACY FIRST
- Zero data collection. Zero network requests.
- No account, no sign-up, no email.
- No analytics, no telemetry, no third-party SDKs.
- No web fonts or remote resources of any kind.
- No URL is ever written to storage, so nothing can leak out of a private
session.
WHO IT IS FOR
- Privacy-minded people who use incognito many times a day
- Remote workers signing into a second account without logging out of the first
- Developers testing a logged-out view of a page
- Shoppers comparing prices without a trail of cookies
- Anyone sharing a computer with family or housemates
- Students and researchers keeping personal and study browsing apart
HONEST ABOUT WHAT INCOGNITO IS
Incognito stops Chrome saving history, cookies and site data on this device.
It does not hide you from your employer, your internet provider, or the websites
you visit. This extension will never claim otherwise.
Works on Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Brave, Opera, and more.
