The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Inbox Triage
Inbox Triage adds a dashboard above Gmail with counts of labels applied in the last seven days, a daily activity chart, and recently labeled messages. These counts show activity, not a current Needs You backlog. Click a label count to open it in Gmail. While Gmail is open, the extension can ask your connected server to check new mail when the unread count rises; the server also runs on a schedule.
To start, open Gmail, click Connect Gmail in the dashboard, sign in on the Inbox Triage server, and approve Gmail access. The extension reads Gmail's tab title to identify the account, stores a revocable server sign-in token, and receives label counts and recent senders and subjects. It does not read message bodies from Gmail's page or hold a Google OAuth token or AI key. The server reads mail through the Gmail API and may add its labels after separate Google authorization. Inbox Triage does not send, delete, archive, mark read, or move mail to Spam. Disconnecting the extension removes this browser's connection; disconnecting Gmail and deleting server data is separate in server Settings.
Hosted access is limited to the first 90 accounts, and Google's OAuth consent may display an unverified-app warning. You can point the extension at your own Inbox Triage server in settings. Chrome and Brave are supported.
