The browser will automatically download the image using the current format — typically WebP that cannot be used in Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Word, or mobile phone gallery app. Alternatively, the file may be downloaded in the HEIC format, which you may not be able to edit in certain applications. Also, it is difficult to manage a file like photo-1234567890-abcdef.webp. This extension resolves all issues by intercepting and converting image in the desired PNG/JPG format and saving it directly to the Downloads folder. All conversions take place locally in your browser with the help of Chrome’s image APIs. ────────────────────────────────────────── IDEAL FOR ────────────────────────────────────────── • Designers organizing their image collections and mood boards • Researchers downloading images for papers and presentations • Bloggers and creators organizing images for their work • Developers storing UI screenshots and asset references • Students downloading images for assignments and projects • Anyone else that regularly downloads images and needs them to be in the correct format ────────────────────────────────────────── FOREVER FREE ────────────────────────────────────────── Image Downloader is free to use, without any premium version, subscription, advertisements, or up-sales. Developed by an independent developer who believes that easy things should be kept easy and free.
