Holdpad – Quick Notes & Notepad for Any Page

Holdpad is a private quick notes panel that opens beside any web page. Jot down a thought, save highlighted text from a website, or keep a link for later — without switching tabs, without an account, and without your notes ever leaving your computer. Your notes stay on your device. No sign-up, no cloud, no ads, no tracking. WHY PEOPLE TRUST HOLDPAD • Notes are stored only on your computer, in Chrome's local storage. Nothing is uploaded. • No network access at all: the extension is built so it cannot connect to the internet, so it cannot send your notes anywhere. • No site access at install. Holdpad reads a page only when you click its icon or choose "Save selection to Holdpad". • Nothing is lost by accident: every clear has Undo, and cleared notes wait in Trash for 30 days. • Your notes are yours to take: export a full backup at any time, or one Markdown file for Obsidian, Notion, a document or an email. • A public privacy policy lists every permission and why it is needed: holdpad.vercel.app/privacy.html WHAT YOU CAN DO • Quick notes on any page — press Alt+Shift+N or click the toolbar icon, type, then Ctrl/Cmd+Enter. • Save highlighted text from any website — select, right-click, "Save selection to Holdpad". Links, bold, lists and code blocks are kept, with the page it came from. Like a small web clipper. • Save links and whole pages from the right-click menu, with their titles. • A real notepad — headings, bullet and numbered lists, checklists, quotes, links and code blocks, with Markdown shortcuts as you type. • Find anything fast — Ctrl/Cmd+K searches every note, source page and tag, with matches highlighted. • Pin what matters, tag to group, and clear the rest when a task is done. • List view to scan, card view to read. • Works on every page, including Chrome's own pages, where it opens as a popup. • Light, dark or system theme, six colour palettes, and sans, serif or mono text. • In 8 languages: English, Hindi, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil), German, French, Indonesian and Japanese.
