If a phone number has not yet received any public reports, you can become the first person to share your experience by adding a comment or submitting a report. ## Privacy First Hocall is designed with privacy in mind. * Phone numbers are detected only when required for extension functionality. * Risk checks are performed only after you explicitly request them. * Recent searches are stored locally in your browser. * No automatic background analysis of every page is performed. * The extension does not sell your personal data. If a valid phone number is searched but does not yet exist in Hocall's public database, a minimal public phone record may be created to allow future community reports. This record contains phone number information only and does not include personal identity or browsing history. ## Browser Permissions The extension requests only the permissions necessary for its features. **contextMenus** Adds the "Analyze with Hocall" option to the browser's right-click menu. **storage** Stores your settings and recent searches locally in your browser. **activeTab** Reads selected text or phone-like numbers from the active page only when you interact with the extension. **scripting** Runs temporary scripts required to detect phone-like numbers after user interaction. ## Who Is It For? Hocall Phone Safety is useful for: * Anyone receiving unknown phone calls * Consumers who want to avoid phone scams * Customer support professionals * Sales teams * Researchers * Fraud awareness professionals * Everyday users who want more information before answering or returning a call ## Why Hocall? Hocall is more than a phone number lookup tool.
