Highlight Ads Detector – Not an Ad Blocker

Highlight Ads outlines every advertising slot on any webpage with a bold, translucent overlay and a clear AD marker, giving you instant visual transparency into where ads appear as you browse. Highlight Ads is NOT an ad blocker: it never blocks, hides, or removes ads. Webpages stay 100% functional, and layouts never break or shift. KEY FEATURES - Automatic Detection: Powered by the community-maintained EasyList filter set to recognize standard banners, video slots, and sponsored widgets. - Six Highlight Colors: Choose between Red, Orange, Amber, Green, Blue, or Purple to match your preference or light/dark webpage contrast. - Live Tab Counter: View the real-time count of detected ad slots right on the toolbar badge and inside the popup. - Sticky & Responsive Support: Overlays stay precisely aligned with banners as you scroll and navigate modern single-page apps. - Automatic Filter Updates: Filter rules stay updated automatically, with an instant one-click manual refresh option in the popup. - 100% Private & On-Device: Detection runs entirely in your browser. No personal data, browsing history, or analytics are ever collected or transmitted. HOW TO USE 1. Install the extension and browse the web as usual. 2. Ad slots will be outlined automatically with your selected accent color. 3. Click the extension icon in your toolbar to toggle highlighting on or off, pick a new highlight color, see the ad count, or update filter rules.
