The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Header Profile Switcher
Header Profile Switcher is a lightweight, local-first Chrome
Manifest V3 extension designed for software engineers, QA testers,
and developers who need to modify, inject, or strip HTTP request
and response headers on the fly.
✨ Key Features in v0.2.0:
• Multi-Language Support (i18n): Auto-detects browser language
and supports 5 languages (English, 한국어, 日本語, 简体中文,
Español).
• Request & Response Header Modification: Add, modify, or
strip/remove headers (e.g., inject `Access-Control-Allow-Origin:
*` to test CORS).
• Global & Profile Toggle: Instant toggle with global ON/OFF
switch or keyboard shortcut (Alt+Shift+H / Option+Shift+H).
• Zero-Server Profile Sharing: Safely share profiles with team
members via client-side URL hash links or JSON files. No external
servers involved, ensuring your tokens and credentials stay 100%
private.
• URL Pattern Matching: Apply rules to specific domains using
wildcard (`*://*.example.com/*`) or regex patterns.
• Compact & Fast UI: Sleek direct editor in the popup without
unnecessary scrolling.
• Duplicate Header Warnings: Visual highlighting to avoid
conflicting header rules.
🔒 Privacy & Security First:
• 100% Local-First: Runs entirely in your browser using Chrome's
native declarativeNetRequest API.
• No Remote Code & No Telemetry: No analytics, no cloud tracking,
no request/response payload logging.
• Minimal Permissions: Requests optional host permissions only
when applied.
This update (v0.2.1) introduces an enhanced UI and rich filtering capabilities for developer header testing:
1. Added HTTP header name quick-selection and autocomplete dropdown.
2. Added multi-condition filters (Resource types, HTTP request methods, URL regex, Include/Exclude).
3. Widened value input fields and added hover tooltips for better readability of developer tokens and URLs.
4. All modifications strictly execute locally on the client browser using Chrome's DeclarativeNetRequest API with zero external servers and zero data collection.
