Hacker News Saver

Seamlessly save articles and comment threads from Hacker News with a single click. Detailed Description: Overview Hacker News Saver is a minimalist Chrome extension designed for avid HN readers who want a simple way to keep track of interesting articles. It elegantly solves the problem of "tab overload" by integrating a personal reading list directly into your Hacker News browsing experience. By adding a checkbox next to each article on the homepage, this extension allows you to instantly save an article's title, its external URL, and the all-important Hacker News comments link for later. How It Works Browse Hacker News: Navigate to news.ycombinator.com/news as you normally would. Save with a Click: You'll see a new checkbox to the left of each article title. Check it to save an article. Uncheck it to remove it. Access Your List: Click the extension's orange icon in your Chrome toolbar to view a clean, simple popup containing all your saved articles, sorted with the newest ones at the top. Core Features: Seamless Integration: Checkboxes appear directly on the HN page, feeling like a native feature. Save What Matters: Captures the article title, the direct URL, and the Hacker News comments link. Effortless Management: Your saved list is always accessible from the toolbar. Articles are automatically sorted by when you saved them. Lightweight & Fast: Built to be unobtrusive and have zero impact on your browser's performance. 100% Private: Your saved article list is stored locally on your computer using Chrome's built-in storage. Your data is never transmitted anywhere and is completely private to you. Permissions: Storage: This permission is required to save your list of articles on your browser. That's it! This extension is perfect for anyone who wants to curate their own "must-read" list from Hacker News without the clutter of extra tabs or external services.
