The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Grok Usage Extension
Know how much Grok you have left, without leaving your chat.
Grok Usage Extension adds a small floating widget to grok.com that shows your usage and exactly when it resets. The numbers come straight from Grok's own usage data for your signed-in account, read in your browser.
KEY FEATURES
Weekly pool for SuperGrok
On SuperGrok plans a progress bar shows the percent used of your weekly pool, with the exact date and time it resets, for example "Resets Oct 5, 11:02 PM". A line under the bar shows how the used share splits between Imagine, Chat, Grok Build and the other products Grok reports.
Free query window
On the Free plan the widget shows how many queries you have left in the current window, for example "8/20", and how long the window is.
Color coded status
Bars are green up to 60% used, amber above 60%, and red above 85%.
Toolbar badge and popup
The toolbar icon shows the percent used, color coded. Hover it for details, or click it to open a small popup where you can refresh or turn the on-page widget off. Refresh works even when no Grok tab is open.
Refreshes on its own
Usage updates after each Grok reply or Imagine generation finishes, when you return to the tab, and every few minutes while the tab is visible.
Plan badge
Shows your plan, such as FREE, LITE, SUPERGROK, PLUS or HEAVY.
Put it where you want it
Drag the widget anywhere and it stays there. Collapse it to a compact bar that still shows your usage, or close it for the rest of the page session.
Theme colors, synced
Pick from nine designer palettes with a single slider, or keep Auto to follow Grok's light and dark mode. Your choice syncs across the computers where you are signed in to Chrome.
Stays out of the way
The widget renders in an isolated Shadow DOM, so it cannot clash with Grok's styles.
WHY THESE PERMISSIONS
Access to grok.com
Needed to show the widget on grok.com and to read your usage from Grok using your existing session. The extension runs on grok.com and nowhere else.
Storage
Remembers the widget position, its collapsed state, whether the widget is shown, your theme, and the last usage numbers for the toolbar badge.
Declarative Net Request
Used only as a fallback on paid plans: if Grok's usage data cannot be read directly, the extension opens Grok's own Settings > Usage page in a hidden frame on grok.com, and this rule lets that grok.com page load inside grok.com.
PRIVACY
There is no analytics, no tracking and no server of its own. Requests go only to grok.com, using your existing session. Nothing is sent to the developer or to any third party.
FAQ
I installed it and I don't see the widget.
Make sure you are signed in to grok.com and reload the page. Also check that "Show widget on Grok" is on in the toolbar popup.
