The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About graphmarks — Bookmarks as a graph
Graphmarks turns your new tab page into a living map of your bookmarks.
Instead of a list you get a graph: folders are hubs whose size reflects how much they hold, bookmarks orbit around them with their favicon, and weak links between sites on the same domain bridge related areas.
THREE LENSES
• Folders — your real bookmark hierarchy.
• Tags — graphmarks adds tags (Chrome has none); a bookmark with several hangs from several hubs at once, which folders cannot express.
• Domains — grouped by site, automatically.
YOUR OPEN TABS, ON THE MAP
Bookmarks you already have open are marked with a ring and a dot per tab; clicking jumps to that tab instead of duplicating it. Tabs that are not bookmarks yet show up as dotted nodes: drag one into a folder and it is saved. The º key leaves only what is open in view.
WINDOW SESSIONS
Save a set of windows with their exact layout — tabs and their order, pinned ones, tab groups with title and colour, position and size of every window — and restore it when you come back to that project.
DIRECT EDITING
Drag to move bookmarks between folders, rename, create or delete from the graph itself. Everything is written to your Chrome bookmarks instantly.
SEARCH
Start typing and the search palette appears: walk the results with the arrow keys, seeing where each one falls on the graph. Also from the address bar by typing "gm" and a space.
PRIVACY
Your bookmarks, history, tags and sessions stay in the browser. The account is optional and only connects to Zetesis-Auth and the graphmarks server when you press "Sign in"; from then on, the only thing that leaves your machine are the cloud collections you create yourself.
You can turn on error reports in Settings: counts of failures per code, with the platform and the version. It ships disabled, it carries no URLs, titles or exception messages, and the server does not store it.
