About GoTrust DLP

GoTrust DLP is an internal enterprise browser extension designed to help organizations prevent sensitive data leakage and enforce security and compliance policies across web-based applications. Modern enterprises rely heavily on browsers to access email platforms, cloud storage, internal portals, and third-party SaaS applications. These environments introduce a significant risk of unintentional or unauthorized data exposure through actions such as copy-paste, file downloads, and web-based data transfers. GoTrust DLP addresses this challenge by providing real-time, browser-level Data Loss Prevention (DLP) enforcement under centralized organizational control. The extension operates within managed enterprise environments and enforces administrator-defined policies to monitor user-initiated actions that may result in sensitive data exfiltration. These policies are configurable by the organization and are applied consistently across all websites and web applications to ensure comprehensive coverage and uniform security enforcement. GoTrust DLP leverages client-side WebAssembly (WASM) to perform high-performance content inspection and policy evaluation directly within the user’s browser. This design enables low-latency enforcement without relying on remote code execution or cloud-based content analysis. All inspection logic executes locally, ensuring that sensitive information remains within the user’s environment at all times. Core Capabilities: Enforcement of enterprise-defined data protection policies across web applications, email platforms, cloud storage services, and internal tools Detection and prevention of unauthorized data exfiltration through copy-paste actions Monitoring and control of file download activities to prevent policy violations Real-time user notifications when organizational security policies are triggered Consistent enforcement across all websites to avoid security blind spots High-performance local scanning using client-side WebAssembly Key Capabilities: Enforces enterprise data protection policies across web applications, email platforms, and SaaS tools Detects and prevents unauthorized data exfiltration through copy-paste and file download actions Provides real-time user notifications when organizational policies are triggered Operates across all websites to ensure consistent security coverage Uses client-side WASM scanning for high-performance, low-latency policy enforcement Privacy and Usage: All scanning and enforcement occur locally in the browser No continuous browsing tracking or keystroke logging No collection of user credentials or personal information Designed exclusively for deployment in enterprise-managed environments under administrator control Privacy and Data Handling: GoTrust DLP is designed with privacy and security as core principles. The extension does not track general browsing behavior, perform continuous surveillance, or collect analytics for marketing or profiling purposes. Clipboard content, webpage data, and downloaded file metadata are analyzed only at the moment required to enforce a defined policy and are not retained beyond that evaluation. No browsing history, keystrokes, credentials, or personal user information are logged or transmitted to external servers. All inspection and enforcement actions occur locally within the browser, and no webpage content is shared with third parties. The extension does not sell, share, or monetize user data in any form. Intended Usage: GoTrust DLP is intended exclusively for use within enterprise-managed environments. Deployment, configuration, and policy management are controlled by organizational administrators as part of an internal security and compliance program. End users are informed when policies are enforced through transparent notifications, ensuring clarity and accountability. This extension is not designed for consumer use and should only be installed by organizations seeking to protect sensitive information, meet regulatory requirements, and reduce the risk of data leakage through browser-based workflows. By combining enterprise-grade policy enforcement, local-only content inspection, and strong privacy protections, GoTrust DLP enables organizations to maintain control over sensitive data while supporting modern, web-driven productivity. GoTrust DLP is not intended for consumer use and should be installed only by organizations as part of their internal security and compliance infrastructure.
