The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Google Tasks in your browser — KiteTasks
Google Tasks has no real client. There's a panel in Gmail, a column in Calendar,
and a browser tab you keep losing. Everything you need to do lives in there, and
getting at it costs you a tab switch every time.
KiteTasks puts Google Tasks where you already are.
TODAY, THE MOMENT YOU OPEN IT
Click the toolbar icon and today's tasks are already on screen — across every
list, in one place, checkable right there. No navigation, no loading a web app,
no hunting for the list you put it in. The answer to "what do I owe today" is one
click, from any tab.
EVERY LIST IN A SIDEBAR
Open the sidebar and your lists sit next to the page you're working on instead of
replacing it. Switch lists, work down one, check things off, add as you go — all
while the tab you actually came for stays open. It's the Google Tasks window that
Google never built, docked to the browser you already live in.
CAPTURE IN ONE KEYSTROKE
Press Ctrl+Shift+K (Cmd+Shift+K on a Mac) on any page. The page title is already
filled in and selected, so type straight over it or keep it. Whatever you had
highlighted lands in the notes, and the link rides along as a chip you can drop
with one click. Pick Today, Tomorrow or a date, add a time if it matters, choose
the list — it remembers the one you used last — and Cmd/Ctrl+Enter to save. The
window closes the moment you do.
RIGHT-CLICK ANYTHING
Right-click a page, a link, or a block of selected text and send it to your
last-used list without opening a window at all. The link becomes the task's
notes, so what you saved is one click away when you come back to it.
YOUR REAL LISTS
Everything here reads and writes your actual Google Tasks lists — the ones
already showing up in Gmail, in Google Calendar, and in the Tasks app on your
phone. Sign in with Google and that is the entire setup. No new account, no new
inbox, no new system to learn.
NO SERVER IN THE MIDDLE
KiteTasks talks to the Google Tauth 2.0 — the same way
Google's own apps do. Your tasks never pass through our servers, because there
aren't any. No tracking, no anal
