The extension helps you improve spelling, grammar, punctuation, clarity, tone, and overall writing quality while you work on websites and web applications. Unlike writing assistants that require a specific cloud AI provider, GlobalDev AI Writing Assistant connects to the Ollama-compatible endpoint that you configure. You can use a local Ollama installation, a server on your local network, a self-hosted remote endpoint, or another compatible AI gateway. GlobalDev AI Writing Assistant does not include advertising functionality and does not use your writing for targeted advertising. Requirements AI-powered functionality requires access to an Ollama or Ollama-compatible model server. Ollama is not bundled with the extension.
